Acoustic noise levels generated by new MRI technology are increasing and reaching levels that are likely to conflict with stricter workplace and safety regulations and also with user anxiety. IMEDCO can supply SilentSHIELD™ RF doors with soundproofing to address these problems.
The characteristics of the soundproofing were determined by an independent laboratory according to ISO 140/717. The special sliding acoustic seal used does not impair the ease of opening the door. Other features are a reliable lock with safety catch on the inside and a flush threshold for moving in beds, wheelchairs and dewars without difficulty.
The design of the soundproof door is covered by US patent Nr. 6 519 899.
